Saint-Gobain and Sczone Utilities: Partnership to Power Growth in Sokhna

As part of continuous efforts to improve infrastructure and promote growth in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), Saint-Gobain Glass Manufacturing Company and the Suez Canal Economic Zone Utilities Company have signed a strategic partnership agreement. This partnership aims to bring energy to a new Saint-Gobain project in Ain Sokhna. ASK2 Factory, the partnership’s seed, with a capacity of 16 MVA.
Agreement Overview

And as the agreement follows and as per Saint-Gobain’s request to join the electricity grid. An agreement has been made between SCZone Company, the utilities company, and Saint-Gobain to carry out the electricity distribution activity within the industrial zone in Ain Sokhna.
Following the Sczone utilities strategic mission within the area to develop, operate, and maintain utilities within the region, Sczone utilities provided a technical and financial proposal tailored to Saint-Gobain’s project requirements. Upon agreement, the company was designated as the general contractor for implementing the electricity connection project.

The Economic Zone Utilities Company will oversee all tasks related to electricity connections, including construction, operation, and supervision. And ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
