SCZONE UTILITIES Delivers Critical Power Infrastructure for Elite Solar’s 2 GW Manufacturing Facility

Sokhna, Egypt – SCZONE UTILITIES is proud to announce the successful execution of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and utilities works for the landmark Elite Solar PV project located within the TEDA Egypt industrial zone.

As the strategic utility partner, SCZONE UTILITIES was entrusted with the design, supply, and installation of the critical power infrastructure required to feed Elite Solar’s new $150 million manufacturing facility. This facility is set to become a cornerstone of Egypt’s green energy landscape, targeting a production capacity of 2 gigawatts of N-type solar cells and photovoltaic systems.

Scope of Work & Technical Excellence To support the high-load requirements of solar cell manufacturing, SCZONE UTILITIES delivered a comprehensive Medium Voltage (MV) solution. Our scope of work encompassed the full spectrum of infrastructure development, including:

  • Civil & Structural Works: Complete construction, finishing, and delivery of a dedicated medium-voltage distribution building, executed in strict accordance with Egyptian codes and industrial standards.
  • MV Network Infrastructure: Supply and installation of over 34,000 meters of high-grade 30/18 KV aluminum cables (3×400 mm²), ensuring robust power transmission.
  • Advanced Switchgear Systems: Installation of a typical distributor system consisting of 13 panels, including 24 KV/25 KA main incoming, bus coupler, and riser panels, alongside sophisticated battery charging and auxiliary conversion systems.
  • Grid Integration: Execution of precise road crossing works (runner installation) and the integration of electronic triple medium voltage metering to ensure accurate monitoring and grid stability.

Powering a Greener Future This project aligns with the opening of Elite Solar’s first phase, scheduled for September 2025. By providing reliable, high-capacity utility infrastructure, SCZONE UTILITIES is directly enabling the creation of 600 new direct jobs and supporting the localization of solar technology manufacturing in the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

This achievement reaffirms SCZONE UTILITIES’ position as the premier infrastructure partner for industrial developers, capable of delivering complex EPC projects that meet the rigorous demands of international manufacturers.
