East Port Said port stands as a pivotal hub poised to emerge as a significant transshipment center and gateway port. Situated adjacent to the Suez Canal, the EPS port occupies coordinates at Latitude 31°13’ North and Longitude 32°21’ East, boasting sheltered deep water facilities capable of hosting large vessels. Its strategic location and state-of-the-art infrastructure position it favorably to facilitate seamless maritime trade operations. Further expansions are planned, aimed at enhancing the port’s capacity and functionality. The basin has been dredged to a depth of 18.5 meters, with pavements designed and constructed to accommodate vessels of varying types, with depths reaching up to 21 meters, ensuring versatility in servicing a broad spectrum of maritime traffic.
The existing Container terminal operated by AP-Moller and Maersk line which is a major transshipment terminal, EPS port also hosts projects under construction and upcoming terminals (General Cargo terminal, RO/RO terminal, and Dry-Bulk terminal and CT2).
